My own personal journey in fitness and nutrition began at a very young age in my sporting career. My profession is teaching Physical education at secondary level while training both water polo and handball at national team level. I have represented Malta proudly both in handball and water polo. In my handball career I have strived to compete at the top level in the Czech Republic in handball and competed in the European qualifiers as national team water polo goalkeeper.
As a student I completed my studies in Sports & Exercise Coaching in Malta which then lead me to a fruitful career in teaching. My interests in sport and fitness encouraged me to delve further into the science of food and the effects it has on humans.
In 2020 I finally completed my undergraduate degree in Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching which I followed through the Institute of Health Sciences in Dublin. I now look forward to working with clients and giving nutrition and lifestyle recommendations.
The history of Malta is a long and colourful one dating back to the dawn of civilisation.
The warm climate, clear Mediterranean light and fresh sea air alone help increase energy levels. The autumn through spring season is ideal for enjoying the Islands' stunning scenery and explorative inland.
The first rains after the long, hot summer brings the landscape to life with an astonishing variety of wild flowers and plants. From mid-November until mid-May, the Islands are green and lush with fields full of vegetables and waysides carpeted with fennel, clover, wild iris and myrtle.
Maltese cuisine is the result of a long relationship between the Islanders and the many civilisations who occupied the Maltese Islands over the centuries. This marriage of tastes has given Malta an eclectic mix of Mediterranean cooking. Although the restaurant scene is a mix of speciality restaurants, there are many eateries that offer or specialise in local fare, serving their own versions of specialities.
